Students learn dance in a number of ways, and a successful teacher can accommodate all students’ needs. You will begin by understanding how you learn and what your goals are as a teacher. Then, you will proceed to creating a dance philosophy that will guide you in becoming a more effective educator.

In this course, you will learn how to:

  • Define and refine your personal philosophy of teaching dance
  • Develop objectives for your teaching
  • Cultivate goals for your students
  • Apply various teaching methods in order to accommodate different learning styles
  • Offer effective feedback and evaluation

Certification is awarded when a comprehensive understanding and mastery of the material is demonstrated. If this does not occur by the end of the series, then students will need to arrange for additional coach sessions.

I would strongly recommend getting these two books for this series. They are very helpful with explaining how the body moves.
